Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer

During the course of my life, I have encountered the enemy - CANCER, many times. Although I myself have never had to battle the disease, many of those around me have. I have lost both of my parents to the devastating disease. My mother passed away from pancreatic cancer in January of 2002. My mother's battle was a brief one because of the aggressiveness of the disease. A little over 1 and 1/2 years later, I again was dealing with another cancer death when my father succumbed to lung cancer. My brother is currently fighting a battle against lymphoma and I have a sister who is a breast cancer survivor.

The love of my life, my wife Carolyn was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 1999. Carolyn had to endure a mastectomy and many strong chemotheraphy treatments. Fortunately with her strong spirit, willingness to fight, God's will and medical technology, she has been cancer free for over 9 years! Her strength is my inspiration.

Many may question why so many people are affected by cancer and get angry over it, but I choose to do something about it! That is why I have decided to participate in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Anyone who knows me, knows when I set my mind to do something, I do it! Although I have been accused of going to the extreme in everything I do, this is one thing that I cannot over do! Please join me in taking this ride to the EXTREME!

Through the donations I am collecting, we together can help individuals and families in our area as they participate in the fight for their life! Your donated dollars will stay here in Kentuckiana and will go directly toward helping local cancer patients get the best medical and emotional treatment available. Anyone who has ever been affected by cancer knows that it isn't an easy fight, but it is a fight we can win!
