The Ride to Conquer Cancer™

John Schnatter, owner of Calistoga Artisan Sandwiches, has announced that he will serve as honorary chair of The Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting Norton Cancer Institute. Schnatter, an avid cyclist, has also registered to participate in the event. He and all other participants will Ride from Louisville to Lexington and back on Sept. 26 and 27, 2009.

"To be a part of this inaugural event is an honor. We all must do something about cancer, as here in Kentucky incidences of the disease are 40 percent higher than the national average. The time for action is now. I think it's incredible that anyone really can make an immense difference in the fight by joining this cycling event." (John Schnatter, Owner of Calistoga Artisan Sandwiches)

"It is extremely humbling to see so many people come together and put forth so much effort. I am also inspired by those who have been hit hard by the economy but are still determined to raise money for this worthy cause cancer does not know what a recession is. Together we can make a difference!" (John Schnatter, Owner of Calistoga Artisan Sandwiches)
